Born and raised in Hungary, trombone player Geza Molnar began studying music at the age of seven at the Music School of Mohacs and continued private study until graduating as a classical trombone player/brass teacher in 2007 from The Franz Liszt University Of Music, Budapest, Hungary. In these 18 years he successfully performed in many national and international competitions.
While studying at the university he worked in many orchestras starting with the Hungarian Army where he was a trombone/euphonium player and also played in many symphonic orchestras, brass bands, brass quintets. He travelled all around Europe since the age of 10. He visited Germany, Austria, France, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Brussel, Belgium and Netherland. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught trumpet, trombone, euphonium and recorder in the Music School of Velence and Budafok. Around 2007-2008 he was introduced to other style of music such as musicals and big band. He had his first experiences in the Chameleon Big Band and Szekszard Big Band. After having such a good time playing musicals in The Hungarian Musical Band and West End Musical Band (Aida, Three Musketeers, Musical Shows) in 2008 he moved to England where he played funk/motown music with The Goodfoot Band and performed Fame The Musical. And also had so much fun with his passion, fixing, repairing cars.
In 2009, Geza was offered to come and work for Carnival Cruise Lines. He spent one year on four ships and after that he moved to Princess Cruises. He enjoys working on ships, because of the wide variety of music, jazz, big band, dixieland and shows. He has seen 50 countries so far including China, Japan, Tasmania, Alaska, Australia and New Zealand.
In 2015, Geza moved back to England and has played with different bands, artists, such as Jimmy Osmond, Magic of Motown, Debra Stephenson.
In August 2022, Geza moved to Bordeaux, France.
